Summer 2018 – Men’s Lacrosse World Championships
This past summer (2018) Julia, Jameson and James had the opportunity to travel to Israel to watch the Men’s Lacrosse World Championships. They also toured Netanya, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Julia and Jameson helped support the tournament itself, especially Julia, in the areas of on-field assignments, field management, and coordination.
As part of the Women’s Premier Lacrosse League, Julia played for the Netanya Bolts where she played against several local Israel teams, England’s National team and Germany’s National team. It was exciting for her because she was able to gain valuable international playing experience against top-national teams.
Jameson was able to be part of the U-20 Israel Lacrosse Festival team where they played several games against local club and international club teams.
He was also selected to walk out the Iroquois National Team for the opening ceremonies of the tournament. He got the opportunity to meet several of the team and also part of the Thompson family members who are part of the national team.
